Education & Career
Mr. Banaji completed his BA from Nagpur University and a Management Education Programme from IIM-Ahmedabad. He started his career in Human Resources at Telco, and then went on to become Director – HR at Alstom Ltd. in New Delhi and then in Paris, France.
Mr. Banaji is currently the President of Group Corporate Affairs at Godrej Industries, where he oversees HR, Strategic Planning and Corporate Legal Services.
Boards and Memberships
• Active member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Committee on Human Resources and Industrial Relations / Employee Relations for several years now.
• Chairman of the CII Western Region Committee on Human Resources and Industrial Relations / Employee Relations for 2006-07.
• Member of the Steering Committee set up by CII and NHRDN in 2006 to guide the development of a country-wide HR Competency Model.
• Member of the Human Resource Partnership in Asia which is organized by INSEAD Singapore since 2006.
• Chairman of the Human Resources Committee of the Employers Federation of India for 2007-08.

Recipient of the National HRD Networks’ (NHRDN) Pathfinders Award 2006 for Seasoned HR Professionals.
