One of India’s brightest economists, a professor and an author, his expertise spans the financial and economic environment in India.
Education & Career
Dr Shah is an aeronautical engineer from IIT, Bombay, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
He began his career as a consultant with Rand Corporation, Santa Monica and then returned to Mumbai as an Associate Professor at IGIDR. He spent the next four years as a consultant with the Department of Economic Affairs, New Delhi.
He is currently a Senior Fellow at the National Institute for Public Finance and Policy in New Delhi.
