Bruno Giussani


Bruno Giussani is a writer, entrepreneur, idea generator, and a connector.

He is the European Director of the TED conferences, the producer of TEDGLOBAL (Oxford) and of the host of several other gatherings and brainstormings focusing on innovation.

Bruno lives in Switzerland, where he is a member of the Board of Tinext, a software company he co-founded. Through his consultancy Giussani Group LLC he advises private and public organisations.

He is a regular contributor to several publications in Europe and the U.S. Most recently his writings have appeared in the Wall Street Journal Europe, The Economist, BusinessWeek Online, The International Herald Tribune, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Il Sole-24Ore and others. He's a regular commentator on Swiss Public Radio.

He is an award-winning blogger and a recognised specialist of the social and business impacts of technological innovation.

Bruno was previously an executive at the World Economic Forum, an Internet columnist for the New York Times and the Director of Innovation at a mobile telecom company. He co-founded two other firms and authored several books on the social impacts of new technologies.

He was made a 2004 Knight Fellow at the Department of Communication at Stanford University and is now a member of the Board of the same Fellowship.
