Marcel Parker holds an Honours Degree in Economics from St Stephen's College Delhi and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in Human Resource Management.
With almost 4 decades of hands-on-experience in the Human Resource arena in diverse industries, he started his career with Voltas and then moved on to ITC , Coromandel Fertilisers Ltd,The Oberoi Hotels,Modi Xerox,The Royal Dutch/Shell Group in India,SAP India and Raymond Ltd-- some of the world's best organizations and in different cultures.
Recently, he was invited to Chair the Board of IKYA Human Capital Solutions Ltd in the space of Executive Search, Recruitment, Learning & Development, Staffing and Facilities Management which was chosen as one of India’s Ten Hottest Start-ups by Business Today.
Achievements:
Marcel acts as an HR Advisor with other respected MNC's, teaches at Business Schools, and is a Qualified Assessor for senior managerial jobs. He has run training programmes for organisations like the Aditya Birla Group , Hindustan Unilever and Bajaj Finance in the past.
His passion however is working with Gen Y and he spearheads a Mentoring Programme for students in one of Mumbai's leading business schools apart from being a mentor to several Human Resource professionals.
Marcel is very actively involved in giving back to the profession and served as Regional President for the National HRD Network, India and is a Member of the Board too. He is closely associated with educational initiatives for the underprivileged children as well.
He enjoys writing for the media on Human Resource Management and is a frequent guest on TV programmes in the HR arena. He was honoured as OUTSTANDING HR PROFESSIONAL by Midday Publications as well.
