Rama Bijapurkar


Rama Bijapurkar is one of India’s most respected thought leaders on marketing strategy and consumer related issues and a keen commentator on social and cultural change in the evolving, liberalising India. She is well known for her insights and consulting practices in the emerging Indian market and is frequently quoted in publications. She has her own consulting practice with a host of Indian and international clients.

 

Rama Bijapurkar has a Bachelors Degree in Physics (honours) from the University of Delhi and is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

 

She started her career in advertising with Lintas, and has since then worked in market research with Mode and MARG, in the FMCG sector with Hindustan Lever, and in consulting with McKinsey.

 

She currently has her own strategic marketing consulting firm under her own name and also continues to teach as visiting faculty at IIM, Ahmedabad.
